Refugee Sponsorship
To come to Canada as a refugee, you must be referred and will need to pass a medical exam and security and criminal check.
To sponsor a refugee under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program, the private sponsor will need to provide the following:
- start-up costs, such as furniture and clothing
- on-going monthly costs for basic necessities, including housing, food, and public transportation
- supporting refugees socially and emotionally
